Island Festive Houseparties
We are planning the perfect Festive Breaks and we’d love you to come and join us. Whatever your preference we can guarantee a Romantic Christmas and a traditional Island Hogmanay. Our two Highland Hotels – Toravaig House and Duisdale House Hotel are located in the south of Skye and are ready to become your Highland Home for the one, two, three (or four days) days as we welcome you to a break to remember.
Our special Packages includes the following:
- Welcome Drinks reception on the first night and the chance to meet your hosts Anne and Ken and your fellow guests.
- 3-course Dinner & Breakfast each day.
- 4-course Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day
- 4-course Hogmanay Banquet on New Years Eve
- Fireworks at Midnight on 31st December
- Late Brunch on New Years Day
To reserve your place at the party we ask for £300 per person booking fee when you book to secure your reservation.
Duisdale Festive Tariffs
Houseparty prices are per person for three nights and are inclusive of Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, entertainment and activities as detailed in the programmes. Christmas Programme is 3 days from 24 December 2008. New Year Programme is 3 days from 30th December 2008.

Stay Longer Rate
Why not arrive early, stay a day later, or even both. For those who would like to linger longer we are offering the very special rate of just £50 per person for Bed and Breakfast.

Romantic Christmas Escape Programme
December 24
- Arrive after 3pm to enjoy afternoon tea and scones
- We’ve arranged for some Carol Singers to entertain us in the early evening
- Drinks Reception before dinner to meet fellow guests and also Anne & Ken you hosts.
- Superb 3 course Candlelit dinner in the Dining room
- Attend Midnight Mass service nearby
- Mulled wine & homemade mince pies served on your return.
December 25
- Christmas morning starts with breakfast served in the Dining room
- This morning we’ve arranged a guided walk locally
- Indulgent, traditional Four-course Christmas Day Lunch
- A relaxing afternoon where you can explore the surrounding area. A Romantic stroll to Knock castle or a woodland walk. There is also the chance to relax by the fire and play the usual board games in the lounge
- Then a leisurely evening with a superb evening buffet.
December 26
- Boxing Day begins with late breakfast
- The rest of the day is yours to relax, or enjoy an activity
- Return to the hotel for a late afternoon of Whisky Tasting
- Enjoy a delicious Three-course dinner in the Dining room.
December 27
- Full Scottish breakfast to prepare you for your journey home
Highland Hogmanay Package
December 31
- Arrive at your Highland Hotel and check in.
- The night kicks off at 8.00pm with a Bucks Fizz reception and follow with a superb 4-course Highland Banquet and continues with bringing in the New Year.
- At Midnight we have Fireworks to top the bill and then the celebrations can continue until the Wee sma hours for those who wish.
January 1
- Leisurely substantial Brunch served through to 1pm for those who want a bit of a lie in.
- Why not take a stroll along to historic Knock Castle to brush the cobwebs away with the fresh highland air!
- The rest of the day is your’s to explore the countryside or just relax with your favourite book in front of the fire.
- This evening after dinner we have our local fiddler serenading us from the bottom of the stairs.
January 2
- Leisurely late breakfast.
- Today why not take a trip to Dunvegan Castle in the north of the island and marvel at the stunning MacLeod Tables and the awesome Cuillin Range in the West.
- This evening is a more relaxed affair and you’ll have time to relax and unwind after dinner with a fine wine or a Malt whisky in front of the open fire.
January 3
- Full Scottish breakfast to prepare you for your journey home.
