Newly Refurbished Contemporary Bar
Our all new contemporary bistro-style bar is open. Following a complete refurbishment this room is now well and truly in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The final result is opulent and stunning. With shades of turquoise and putty and the combination of the slatted wooden blinds and luxurious banquette seating it is chic and stylish. The solid oak bar is made from kiln dried oak which came from the Clan Donald Centre nearby. Menus will be released soon.
Step Back in Time
Stephen Birch, our resident Archeologist and historian, is set to present some talks about life on Skye in ancient times as well as act as our guide on site visits to High Pasture Cave and other well known areas of historical interest on the island. These talks and visits will take place on Saturday mornings at Duisdale House Hotel, in the shoulder months – starting end of March - and they promise to give a fascinating insight into life on the island long ago. Ask about booking when you make your room reservation.
Woodland & Shoreside Walks at Duisdale House Hotel
Lots of new woodland walks have been carved out of the ancient Duisdale Forest which form part of the grounds of Duisdale House Hotel. There are 30 acres of forest and the walks meander their way around the gardens with little bridges to cross and seating areas from which you can enjoy the view, listen to the birds and enjoy the wildlife - perhaps you may even spot a deer or two…
Alternatively you could take a walk to the shore, sit on the rocks and gaze out to sea in the and hope of catching a glimpse of a seal or an otter at play.
